Read Billy Connelly's one a few years back and it was very interesting. poor man had a terrible childhood but always managed to make light of the situation he was in

Sorry to return to the Geldof thing again Ned, But I have to say it was nothing short of embarrassing to watch and listen to him and Bonzo as he called his friend last night on TV. They were both moaning about the big disappointment of the G8 summit. Bob said he felt like a big fool for believing those people after the Scotish summit. Are these two guys for real or what? I thought they were fools back then and any old child or fool they asked on the street would have told them the same. They actually thought a big photo shoot with Bush, Blair and the others was going to change the world and make those leaders commit to justice! I look forward to learning what if any lessons they will learn from this experience. I hate to say it, but if they are really, really really genuine about what they say, they should either adopt a radical leftwing politician or politicians who might be strategiacally placed to bring about the reforms they are looking for, or become those politicians themselves. This of course will not or cannot happen because they are not truly radical and are basic capitalists at heart themselves. I'm sure the hunt for attention will continue is some form or other though!

As I've said many times K, They are making a difference, are we?

They are in the sense that they are pissing alot of people off. Bush and co are laughing at them so they obviosly aint making a difference there. so dont you think its time they went back to the oul drawing board if they want people to really take them seriously? If maybe you feel they are atleast trying where others are not, then maybe its because others can see where they are going wrong, while even more feel they are mere attention seekers. I dont know even why I bother with this, but these two lads simply dont come across as the real thing. Geldof probably could come across at times as genuine but then others times seems totally naive. The knighthood thing then puts it all in perspective and shows what planet he is hanging out on. Bonzo on the other hand is simply as false as a plastic diamond. He is one of the most talented singers in the world, but there is one big award out there with his name on it. 'The most false act of all time -The Geldof wannabe award'.

Or as Sir Bob put it, Its a load of Bollocks!

What about this 40th anniversay of the Isreali/Arab 6 day war? Is it to be celebrated, or used as a lesson to be relected upon.
I remember each day while it was going on, the nun who was teaching us in the national school, stopping the class at midday to pray for peace. We knew there was some sort of war going on, but it may as well have been space invaders we were praying for!

The more people they piss off the better, any sort of press is good press as far as sir Bob and saint Bono and mise is concerned,Just think k if one life is saved because of their fame or notoreity is that not a good thing?
If it was my child or yours k would you give a damn how it came about that there lives were saved?
I liked Bob as a singer and Bono is one of the best, neither of them need money! Do you actually think that they are out there trying to get in the news to make more dosh for themselves?
So *Sober* up K and get a
handle on the facts mo chara!

That was my point about the Isreali's, of course if there was a hint of a nazi flag around the place we'd never hear the end of it.
As for the two white Knights Bonzo and Bob, i aint getting into another tit for tat spat with you Ned, only to say it is very plain to me the boyo's are not doing it for the money, that would be boring, even singing must be boring to them now, cameras and limelight they will never tire of though. I'm just surprised they havnt picked a cause where they might actually make a difference. Ask yourself why other famous people who could maybe make a difference have not joined them post Live Aid?
