LYDON - Kiltimagh Mayo

Thomas Lydon born 1883? in Kiltimagh Mayo ( my grandfather) . He moved from Ireland to North East England, and married my grandmother Ellen Agnes Scanlon (dob 1885) the couple married in South Shields in 1912.
They had four children that I am aware of..: Thomas Jr, Catherine, Michael, and the youngest Philip who died young following an accident.
For many years the family lived in Prince Consort Road, Hebburn , County Durham.

To help my research I would like to make contact with any Lydons from Kiltimagh Mayo, who maybe distant relations....any help or links no matter how small will be of great value to our research. Regards Katy

Hi, I am trying to trace my Fathers family, Florence Sullivan and Catherine Keohane they married in 1863, in skibbereen, County Cork. They had five children. One of them Mary married Jeremiah McCarthy in 1884 in Caheragh, County Cork. They had 14 children, Katherine,Michael, Florence, Dennis, Timothy, Mary, Daniel, Hanora,Julia, James, Jeremiah, Ellen, Patrick, John, and most of them came to Boston. I am interested in finding more details concerning this family.

What I would like to know is why did Tom have to bail out in 1883, did he steal Travelians Corn? lol

That Jermiha McCarthy ? from Skibereen will be more difficult as every second family in West Cork has the same names, both Christian and Sur's. My Folks on my Fathers side came from Macroom down west. McCarthy is very popular in Kerry also. We were High-Kings of Munster one time before been stabbed in the back!;)
