I spoke with the County Engineer last night Columm. Yes the Fota road is going to be lined, they are waiting on a contractor to do the job. As for the main task of a new road, the news is not so promising. Apparently at an earlier public consultation process to discuss the proposed route of the new road, there was a lot of objections from people of a naturist background who didnt want the wildlife in the marsh area interfered with. He tells me that has put everything back. The consultants have to go back to the drawing board and the whole process must start all over again. I said it before and will say it again, people need to wake up and make a little noise about this because if this process drags out beyond the election, it might be binned and put on hold indefinately! - K >:(
