"A Trip to the Antarctic Peninsula with Jim Wilson
Thursday 30 October 8:00pm (doors 7:45pm). Tickets €6/€4concession".
I couldn't but enjoy a wry smile when I saw this article in the local Great Island Community News (GICN) this week. It was of course only advertising a lecture by Jim Wilson in the Sirius Art centre, not a guided tour to Antarctica itself.
.
Speaking of the GICN, I don't normally buy it but I haven't seen Inside Cobh in the shops for a while. There's still a few copies of the October 1st issue in my local shop. Now I know Kieran hasn't been online for a while and is probably busy preparing for the launch of his book so perhaps we'll see Inside Cobh return soon.
Oh' by the way here's that ad about the Antarctic "tour".
