Anyone see the film crew that were around the town earlier this week? I didnt see them myself but a number of people reported seeing people walking up and down the town in famine period costume. Camera crews were filming them boarding the Jeanie Johnson at Kennedy pier on Wednesday and around the Railway Station/Heritage Centre on Thursday. Contrast that with all the hype around the big super-super Liner thats due in Cobh tomorrow. How we've changed!

Didn't see them Kieran, but you're right. It's great having the liners coming into town now, but we should never forget where we've come from and the fact that there are still people living in abject poverty while others have obscene wealth.

There was a good Doc on TV the other night, dealing with the country's big -big rich list and how they deal with tax evasion. or should i say how our government helps and legislates for them not to pay tax. It was unbelievable how it is done. I couldnt believe there are so many millioneers in Ireland. When they will write about this in years to come, people will not so much judge the governments harshly but ordinary people for consistently voting them into power!
