Anybody know what's happening re the developments beside the old Town Hall as part of the proposed Harbour Cat Ferry service? Has it gone to planning yet?

It has, there some objections gone in locally, and there some opposition in Passage/Monkstown too but only to a location, not to the plan in priciple!

There's no sign of any planning notices down there (a legal requirement) and I haven't seen anything on the Cork County Council planning list.

There has to be plans there because Liam McCarthy the babker stood up at a public meeting and criticised them. Deckie Moynihan of Ryngs shop also placed an objection. They must have had someting to object to! the County Council would have no part in the Lynch's Quay plans!

Thanks for the info Kieran, but I thought they were supposed to put up site notices. There's a sign in the window alright but it says "Office to Let".

I cant answer that one Fulla. Yes they must put the notice up in a place thats in view of the general public, and people are entitled to complain or object if that is not the case. Could they have the notice placed around the corner facing the harbour? A member of the local planning office is meant to examine and make sure that such rules are being adhered to!

The notice has appeared in tonight's Evening Echo.

They must have heard you moaning Fulla.
Did anyone hear the debate on the radio over the Ringaskiddy terminal project? I thought the anti people spoke most sense but i;m biased of course. The port spokesman and Cobhman Mick McCarthy came out with the standard and expected waffle -progress, but for the nuetral listeners it might have made some sense!
