Great to see the sun shining in Cobh this morning - though it's only around 10 degrees Celsius it looks like a summer's day here and it's nice to see the harbour is full of little boats and people are out walking and enjoying the sunshine. Don't think it'll last too long but it's a welcome sign that springtime is here.

:) :) :) :)

No drink at all involved - unless you include Barry's Tea (I know the irony there Kieran but I prefer it to the others) - It was a lovely day yesterday. The sea was flat calm until the afternoon when the clouds came in and the wind started to pick up.

I've started using herbal tea recently Katy but the plain green tea is a bit bland. My favourite one is Nettle, hibiscus, rose and dandelion, but to be honest you can't beat a cup of Barry's. Think I'll have a cuppa now in fact. Cheers!

How is old Peter these days, he must be over 80 now. He used be described as coming from the green (nationalist) wing of his party, if there is such a thing!

I suppose you could call Eoin O'Duffy a nationalist of sorts but definitely not a republican.

Peter will be 80 this year - amazingly 8 of the members of the 1973-77 government are still alive although they're all around 80 or more. Old Cosgrave (the Minister for Hardship) is still going at 88 this year while your old "friend" the Cruiser will be 91 next November. It is true that you can't kill a bad thing.

It makes no difference that the Cruiser is in his 90's. he was still rambling when he was only in his 50's. His wild political predictions were so off the wall and ficticious, I cant understand how some in the media still take him serious -a bloody lunatic!

Connie Doolans is up for sale. Titanic is still sinking in the courts, and the others you referred to in the Square Katy are direlict buildings owned by one of the richest men in Ireland, they are not pubs. I'm told Pillors is to reopen for the summer but the sun is splitting the rocks today and its not open, so who knows girl!
