It dropped to 2.6 C in Cobh last night with the top temperature yesterday reaching only 10.4 degrees but the sun is shining again today and the temperature is rising steadily. Hopefully that Gulf Stream will last forever and those predictions of its demise are all wrong.

Ramblers had a nice 2-1 win against Cork City Yesterday. They were better and had most possession, particularly in the second half. They might have had another 2 or 3 goals were it not for fellow Cobhman Mickey Devine in the city goals. Mind you, the Cobh goalkeeper 'Mc Carthy' made a few good saves too! Athough it was only a friendly, it bodes well for next season and those premiership local Derby's!

I didnt forget ya Mike, I didnt want to spoil your news -that Sky had head-hunted ya for next seaons home games. Thought you might have wanted to break that good news to the folks on the site yourself. - I guess not, so they have it now!

Looks like good old Very Tenables is set to get the Irish Managers Job, with Andy Townsend as his no. 2. Could be alot worse I guess. If what we are hearing is correct, he seems to be very anxious to get stuck in. He probably has something to prove to the English FA. Good news also that theres a new Celtic League 4 nations soccer tournament for next year, along the Rugby lines. I have a problem though with the notion that either the 6 or 26 counties can be accurately descibed as a nation! As the old slogan used go "26 +6 =1" and not 2!

I'm not sure about that Katy, Mike the Sky announcer might have some knowledge about it, now that Ramblers are up in the Premier Division.

Its pissing out of the heavens here today. Its days like this that I wonder about all this Global Warming lark. Pissing rain is just the way we all remember normal days in Ireland!

Hi Kieran, we had heavy rain last night...aaahh! but this morning a wee bit of blue sky......bbbrrr!! freezing cold but blue sky.....lol..
Everyone says it always rains in Ireland...truly we have been over a good few times now, and only had rain on a few days.....some days a bit dull, but good for our walk abouts......rest of time sun was out.......magic
cheers Katy:)
